NOBLE FRAGGLE COLLECTION
The Noble Fraggle Collection represents ASME’s most elevated approach to hand-knitted accessories. Rare Italian yarns - including ultra-soft brushed cashmere, fine silk bouclé, silk and premium wool - are combined through sculptural stitch, colour and proportion.
Where the original Fraggle begins with wool, Noble Fraggle expands the material vocabulary. Different fibres behave differently within the same surface: brushed cashmere creates extraordinary softness, silk introduces light and movement, bouclé adds irregularity, and wool gives the work structure.
The collection includes luxury cashmere and silk scarves, statement hats and textural accessories, alongside art-inspired pieces including Richter, Motherwell and Sultan.
Colour is treated compositionally rather than decoratively. In Richter, multiple shades move through the surface like painterly marks. Motherwell shifts both colour and yarn length to alter the physical depth of each section. Sultan reduces the idea to a precise bi-colour relationship, allowing material and contrast to become the focus.
Each Noble Fraggle is hand-knitted in Ireland in limited quantities. Some pieces are inherently limited by the availability of rare yarns, making repetition impossible once a material has been exhausted.
These are objects intended to be worn, but approached with the same attention to material, composition and surface as a textile work.
Luxury here is not excess production. It is material, time and distinction.

Contemporary Knitwear, Made by Hand in Ireland
ASME is an independent knitwear studio creating hand-knitted scarves, accessories and statement pieces from exceptional Italian yarns. Cashmere, silk, silk bouclé and premium wool are selected for their handle, colour and ability to create extraordinary texture.
At the centre of the collection is ASME’s signature fur-stitch - a labour-intensive technique used to build dense, sculptural surfaces entirely through yarn. Across the Fraggle, Sugar, Lola, Põma Põma and Noble Fraggle collections, that textural language shifts from pure Italian wool and saturated colour to brushed cashmere, silk, macramé, fringing and art-inspired compositions.
Scarves sit alongside knitted snoods, gilets, capes, hats and accessories, each made slowly and in deliberately limited quantities. Some pieces are produced in small editions; others are inherently limited by the availability of rare Italian yarns.
Founded on more than two decades of experience in luxury knitwear design, ASME brings the precision of fashion together with the individuality of hand craft. Every piece is made in Ireland with an emphasis on natural materials, exceptional texture and a more considered approach to production.
